The Quincy Association of REALTORS® promotes Fair Housing. We inspire our members to practice real estate with the highest degree of professionalism and standards in service to the public and our members.
The Fair Housing Act protects homebuyers from discrimination as they get a mortgage, rent a home, buy a home, seek housing assistance, or participate in other housing-related activities.
The Fair Housing Act prevents discrimination based on race, color, sex, national origin, religion, disability, or familial status.
The Quincy Association of REALTORS® opposes discrimination in housing based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity, and national origin.
April is Fair Housing Month
Every April, REALTORS® commemorate the passage of the Fair Housing Act of 1968 with events and education that shine a light on housing discrimination and segregation.
Fair Housing Month signifies a recommitment to expanding equal access to housing.
Discrimination in the real estate industry is real and ongoing. REALTORS®, as community leaders, have the opportunity to be part of the transformative solution, providing equal service to all.
April is Fair Housing Month and is a great time for our members to affirm that they are helping to build thriving, inclusive communities. Fair Housing impacts all members of the Quincy Association of REALTORS®, all markets, and all neighborhoods.
We remind our members to: Check yourself. Educate yourself. Hold yourself accountable. Because That’s Who We R®.
